Sick & Health Policy

At SLC we strive to minimize the spread of illness. To support these efforts, there are times when it may be necessary to send your child home based on their symptoms. The symptoms below require your child be picked up from our center within the hour to avoid the spread of illness to other children and staff.  

  • Fever of at least 100 º F 
  • Vomiting: 1 or more occasions within the past 24 hours
  • Diarrhea: 2 or more watery stools within the past 24 hours or any bloody stool. 
  • Earache  
  • Headache           
  • Signs of irritability or confusion           
  • Sore throat           
  • Rash    
  • Fatigue that limits participation in daily activities  
  • Sick appearance, not feeling well, cries unconsolably.
